On Saturday August 17th, we welcomed a group of newcomer children and families to our club and taught them how to play tennis! They are all part of the Winnipeg Newcomer Sport Academy. There were about 40 children from several refugee countries. They also went next door and tried out Lawn bowling. We had many great volunteers who helped to make this day possible, both from our club and their organization. We were so happy to see so many children enjoying this wonderful sport!
