Effective May 28 – Restrictions are extended to June 11 (updated May 31)

Effective Friday, May 28, COVID restrictions from Manitoba Health have been extended to June 11. The Club will remain open to allow family members from the same household to play together and to permit members (single members or members from the same household) to use the ball machine.

Our goals with all these restrictions is to maintain the safety of our staff and members. We look forward to more normal operations when we can have drop in programs, FAST, start of ladder play, etc. hopefully June 12 and beyond!

TTC Board

New guidelines and information:

  • Please do not socialize with members on other courts. We are asking staff to monitor this and issue reprimands if this is not being followed. Should this be an ongoing problem we will have to reduce the number of courts in use.
  • Restrictions on prime time court bookings still apply (4:30-9:00 pm Monday to Friday 1 1/2 hours for doubles and 1 hour for singles; booking permitted every other day). Ball Machine maximum 1 hour booking. Staff are monitoring this and if these guidelines are exceeded, they will alter your booking in Hold My Court and you will be notified.
  • Should there be court time available on the current day (today), you can call the clubhouse and ask staff to book you in even if you are over your allotment.
  • No guests permitted at this time.

Ball Machine (updated May 31)

  • New – households are allowed to book the ball machine 2 times a week maximum (Sunday through Saturday). In the case of couples or families of the same household, they can share their 1 hour bookings. Last minute and same day bookings on open court/ ball machine times will still be allowed, regardless of prior member use in the week.
  • Court 1 has been reserved for ball machine bookings. Members are no longer required to book a court in addition to the ball machine until further notice.
  • Maximum Ball Machine booking is 1 hour.
  • If staff are on the court with you to give instructions on how to use of the ball machine, they will be wearing a face mask and we ask that you do the same.
  • The board has waived the $10 charge for rental of the ball machine for this period of time only.
  • Only use the baskets or tubes to pick up balls.
  • New, specialized balls are on order for the ball machine.

Changes to Hold My Court Booking Procedures

  • ALL bookings Saturday May 29 – June 11 have been removed and new single household only bookings permitted.
  • Advance court bookings can only be made 4 days in advance (previously it was 7 days).
  • 12 o’clock noon will be the new time when Hold My Court opens for booking (previously it was midnight).

Courts 3- 6 resurfacing starts June 21

Repairs to courts 3,4,5 & 6 are scheduled to happen June 21-26 so they will not be available for play that week. This is dependent on weather so the dates will be confirmed at a later date. It would have been great to get this done now but that option was not available to us. This costly undertaking by our club was approved by the membership and it will give us vastly improved court surfaces.

Club Safe Play Guidelines (previously published May 26)

In order to ensure compliance with Manitoba Health restrictions we ask that all members who play at the club do the following:

  1. Complete the online COVID screening form at https://docs.google.com and submit it prior to entering the club. One form can be completed for all household members with all the answers applying to everyone.
  2. On arrival at the club, adult members must display photo ID to staff to confirm they are playing with members of the same household. No sign in is required when the screening form has been completed on line.
  3. Arrive and depart within your booked court time on Hold my Court. The staff will be blowing the horn at 10 minute before the half hour and the hour.
  4. If your court is not booked after your allotted time and you want to stay, please ask the staff for permission.
  5. All children under the age of 12 years must be accompanied by an adult. All household members must be together on their booked court. Please do not leave children outside the courts or club grounds to avoid their being in contact with people outside their household.

At 10:00 pm, all members must leave when the staff have finished their shift.

Please continue to abide by all the same COVID precautions that are posted (i.e. maintain physical distancing; no visiting with anyone outside your household, etc.) and play only with members of your household. Failure to comply may result in total closure of the club again.
